Holidays In A Pandemic Are Tough, But While Far From Canada, These Expats Were Able To Get A Taste Of Home Thanks To Twitter

Chad Richardson, a native of Newfoundland, was preparing for Thanksgiving last weekend but found that he didn't have a key stuffing ingredient in his Los Angeles kitchen: his cupboards were sans NF savoury. Richard would have been able to stock up if he'd gone on his annual trip home to St. John's (home of the Mt. Scio Farm where the seasoning is grown), but the national pause kept him grounded.

On Saturday night he thought to try social media, putting out the call to his fellow Canadians in the area. He figured the request wouldn't yield fruit, but, as he told The Star, "I did know that if somebody did have it, I'd be getting it, because that's how Newfoundlanders are."

Never doubt the power of social media! Richardon even got some help from N.L comedian who retweeted the plea. Tina Cornejo of Pasadena came to the rescue!
