Nickelback May Be The Most Mocked Band In The World But They're Just Rolling With It - To The Bank

The quarter has a new album - No Fixed Address - out today. The band has a long history of getting attitude from the press, other musicians like Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney and Detroit Lions fans (with their 2011 petition to try to stop them from appearing at a Thanksgiving Day half-time show), but instead of getting pissed like they used to, they've chosen to have fun with it. Nickelback did a Funny Or Die sketch where they spoofed themselves and Carney got a thanks over Twitter. After a Londoner attempted to raise money to keep Nickelback out of the city for good (a campaign that generated less than $350), lead singer Chad Kroeger stated, “If [the critics] had stopped writing all this stuff about us, there would be no controversy . . . and we probably would have died out years ago. They don’t know that they’re still responsible for us being around today.”
