When Ontario mom Julia Wykes recently stopped by her local Starbucks early one morning to pick up a drink to go, she had along her five-month old who was fussing. Being proactive she decided to find a seat to breastfeed him rather than have him start crying. She found a spot by the cash register and seeing her, another customer complained to the employee at the register. Not only is breastfeeding in Ontario legal, but the customer was a woman who possibly had had children herself. But the final kicker was when the barista, a teenage boy, came over and instead of telling Wykes to leave, apologized, gave her a refill and a voucher. So while some of the women of Ontario seem to be lacking compassion, some teenage boys are being brought up well.
