Toronto Police Tell Women To Stop Dressing Slutty So They Won't Be Attacked

On January 24th at Osgoode Hall Law School, members from York security and male officers from Toronto police 31 Division conducted a campus safety information session, and one of the officers told women they could avoid sexual assault by not dressing like a "slut." Students and staff demanded an apology from the Toronto Police Service.

In protest, a group of women organized Slutwalk Toronto on April 3rd in front of the Toronto Police Service's front door at 40 College Street. Approximately 3,000-4000 people joined in.
