Toronto Filmmakers Get Distribution Deal For John Hughes Documentary

Canadian outfit Alliance Films will market the just finished documentary on the late, lamented 80s director. The team behind the film, including its director, Matt Austin, set out to explore whatever became of the man who connected with so many teenagers in films such as The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and then essentially vanished in the 90s. The documentary is entitled Don't You Forget About Me after the song from The Breakfast Club, arguably Hughes' defining work.
