Ezra Levant, Former Publisher Of The Western Standard, Calls The Canadian Government To Task

In the following article from his new book, "Shakedown: How Our Government is Undermining Democracy in the Name of Human Rights", Levant revisits his decision in 2006 to run a story in the Western Standard, on the firestorm that erupted around the world when a Danish newspaper printed a number of cartoons featuring the prophet Muhammad. In the ensuing two years, Levant and his magazine (the only national conservative publication in the country) became the center of their own media frenzy in Canada and then, thanks to the internet, around the globe.
