Terry Fox Run Update

More than 1500 people participated in the Run on October 18th. The Four Seasons Hotel (the Canadian chain that gave Fox a room on his journey) and gave out goodies and drinks. Funds raised from the Terry Fox Runs worldwide have helped find an ACTUAL CURE for the form of cancer that struck down Fox. The NYC branch of the Run (the last remaining one in the US) has raised monies (this year the figure is expected to be $150K from the Run) for Sloan Kettering researchers who have moved their animal studies for cancer treatment to the human study phase.
