While A Certain "C" Word Is Getting A Lot Of Attention Right Now, Another - Caremongering - Is A Welcome Antidote

A few days ago, two women, Mita Hans and Valentina Harper, started a Facebook in Toronto in which, instead of fearmongering amid the Corona virus chaos, caremongering is offered. The group and the others that have sprung up throughout Canada (and overseas) since, are a way for communities to help those who have health complications, are home bound or are simply feeling isolated. People can post if they need something, have information to share or if they are interested in providing assistance. These acts of kindness have included a single mother in Ottawa getting food for her baby and a community in Prince Edward Island that bought gift cards for a woman who was laid off due to virus closures.
