Actress Alberta Watson Dead At 60

Watson, 60, probably best known to Canadian and American audiences for her role on 24 as Erin Driscoll and as Senator Madeline Pierce on the CW's Nikita, had had four decades in the business. In Canada she worked on a number of home grown shows including The Newsroom and The Border. For Gen Xers and independent film fans, she holds a special place for Spanking the Monkey, where she played Jeremy Davies's mother.

Watson passed away in a Toronto hospice after a long battle with cancer.
