Glee Star Cory Monteith Found Dead

The 31-year-old Calgary native, who rose to fame on the Fox television show playing high schooler and singer Finn Hudson, was found by housekeeping in his room at the Fairmont Pacific Room Hotel in Vancouver around noon yesterday after he missed the check out time. The cause of death was not apparent upon initial examination. Monteith, who had a history of drug abuse, was in the news earlier this year after checking into rehab and spending 30 days there. As a teenager, after getting heavily into drugs following his parents divorce, he had spent time in rehab as well. Of that period Monteith told Parade magazine in 2011 that "he was lucky to be alive."
