Across Alberta, at various Tim Hortons, customers have been picking up the tab for 500 or more of their fellow coffee lovers each time.
It started with a 20-something anonymous donor in Edmonton in Monday who bought a double double and a doughnut and asked the clerk to put the next 500 large coffees on his debit card. Since then, Canadians have embraced the gesture five more times in Calgary on Tuesday, Ottawa and Red Deer on Thursday and twice more in Edmonton. Only the last one was non anonymous. Monica Kavanaugh bought 800 cups at the Tim Hortons in Edmonton's Royal Alexandra Hospital because of the care her father has been receiving there.
Here's to more acts of kindness across the country.
