A Magnitude 7.7 Earthquake Hits Canada

The quake hit the Haida Gwali region (formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands)  earlier tonight. The area is about 155 km south of Masset, BC. Moments later, an aftershock with a 5.8 magnitude followed. A tsunami warning is in effect. At this time, there have been no reports of damage.
