On Saturday night at Tropicana Field, the singer, there to perform as part of the summer concert series at the stadium, unleashed a series of curses after fans booed her. Was it because Floridians just don't like Canadians? More likely, it was because the Lavigne had some technical difficulties with a dead microphone during her first song. The Rays apologized directly to fans for her sailor language, issuing the following statement:
"The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night's show. It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for."
Well, a girl's got to live up to her faux-punk image.
