Canada's Women's Hockey Team Gets The Gold But All Is Not Golden With the IOC

Last night, after Canada defeated the US 2-0, the victorious ladies took their celebration back onto the ice with beer and cigars. In addition to the public drinking, which was frowned upon, the team has several underage members (it's legal to drink at 19 in B.C.), including superstar Marie-Philip Poulin, 18. The International Olympic Committee will investigate and speak with the international hockey federation and the Canadian Olympic Committee so they the two bodies may "act accordingly." Bad behaviour at the Olympics is being taken very seriously, as American snowboarder Scotty Lago found out earlier this week. The Bronze medal winner was photographed in several compromising positions after he gave his medal to a woman who kissed it. Lago volunteered to return home, sparing the US Olympic Committee from having to eject him from the Olympic village. Potentially the Canadian team could be banned from the Closing Ceremony or forced out of the village.
