Canadian Teen Wins Beatboxing Championship Wildcard Slot

At this year's 5th Annual Beatbox Battle Online Championship in Berlin, which got underway earlier this week, 17-year-old Julia Dales of Ottawa will compete for a shot at the grand prize. Her video, shot in the backseat of a car in the parking lot of Ashbury College where she's a student, won her the wildcard spot earlier this month through a Youtube contest. Dales, who has been called the Sarah Connor of Beat Boxing, will be a rare female performer. The winner will be chosen on Sunday.
