Anvil: A Little Metal Band From The 80s Makes A Big Comeback

The tagline to the new documentary Anvil, The Story of Anvil, says it all: At fourteen, they made a pact to rock forever. They meant it.

The director, Sacha Gervasi, was a roadie for the band in the 80s and presents a loving, humourous and touching account of the group's nearly four-decades-old history and brings them to the present day and their totally unexpected 21st century reermergence. The documentary has been generating buzz and terrific reviews since its American premiere at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. It's now open in select cities in Canada and the US and will go wider in the coming weeks.
