A Chance For Canada To Take Home An Academy Award

Set decorator Peter Lando (of B.C.) has been nominated for Best Achievement in Art Direction for the movie The Dark Knight, in collaboration with production designer Nathan Crowley. Lando came to DK director Christopher Nolan's attention on the set of Insomnia. Lando has also worked on Elektra, The Chronicles of Riddick and Eight Below. The Dark Knight has eight nominations and in the Art Direction category, is competing against The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Changeling, The Duchess and Revolutionary Road.
