Get Your Moules On!

Head uptown to Flex Mussels, the new restaurant devoted to PEI mussels opened by two native restaurant veterans, Bobby and Laura Shapiro. There are 23 sauces including the "Acadian", which comes with gumbo sauce, shrimp, andouille, okra, and the "Dubliner", featuring Guinness (of course) and toasted walnuts and caramelized onions. If you're not in the mood for mussels, go for the PEI lobster dinner. Wash it down with your choice of five Canadian beers (there are also some not too shabby Belgian and American brewss too, if you must). The place will be decked out with artwork from PEI, but more importantly, the oyster bar will be manned by John Bil, three-time Canadian oyster-shucking champ.

Or just stop by: 174 East 82nd Street (between Lexington & 3rd Avenues)
