The Oscar-nominated Armenian-Canadian director will be directing Samuel Beckett's Eh Joe this month for the Gate/Beckett program at this year's Lincoln Center Festival. His multimedia version of the show debuted at Dublin's Gate Theatre two years ago and starred Michael Gambon. The New York run will also include two additional Beckett dramas, none of which were written for the stage. Liam Neeson, working with the Gate for the first time, stars in Eh Joe. The Sunday Times described the London production as "the greatest half-hour in theatrical history." First Love features Ralph Fiennes and Irish actor Barry McGovern will be showcased in I'll Go On. The plays are being staged separately and then together on two same-day marathons.
Performances begin July 16th at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. The final shows, the marathons, are July 26th and 27th.
