For All Of The Blue Jays Fans In The Hoose
and by that, I mean, maybe one person out there, here's the first official blog post on behalf of the team. As a Canadian and baseball fan who's still smarting over the departure of the Expos from Montreal, perhaps your Blog Mistress' bitterness over that tragedy has caused her to be remiss in not giving a shout-out to the Jays sooner. Alas, this first post is to bid adieu to veteran Frank Thomas, a designated hitter for the team, who had a mutual parting with the 39-year-old over the weekend. Last year Thomas led the team in home runs and RBIs, but this year is currently batting .167. The Jays will still have to pay $8M to Thomas, his salary for the season.
