This weekend you can catch some of the actors from the Canadian show Degrassi: The Next Generation going to Kenya to help build a school through the organization Free The Children. It's called Degrassi: Doing What Matters. If you don't have digital cable, you can watch it online at http://www.the-n.com/theclick/?categoryId=5006&titleId=16277 .
Free The Children was founded in 1995 by Canadian Child Rights Activist Craig Kielburger when he was just 12. The charity's goal is to bring children together to help fight poverty and create change and empowerment through education. To date, the organization has built over 500 schools around the world, shipped $15M in medical supplies and provides education to 50,000 children every day. To learn more, make a donation or see Kielburger when he's in North Carolina next week, go the website http://www.freethechildren.com/index.php
