Productions that spend more than $50K in the state can receive a 25% rebate on everything they spend there. In 2007, nine major films, including The Lonely Maiden (with Morgan Freeman and Christopher Walken) were shot in Boston, pouring $125M into the local economy, up 150% from last year. When it comes to cineplexes in 2008, imagine it with Vancouver scenery instead of Boston, since it was going to be the original city for the movie.
